This week marks something different as we work towards elevating personal style and key elements with the statement timepieces from Guy Laroche. We play with basic, simple and clean lines that are often modern, minimal and elegant chic. Statement pieces are the key to dressing up and follow us through as we show you how we do it with the versatile watches from Guy Laroche.
We’re meddling with really amazing pleating details this week, along with everyone’s favourite eyelet and lace. Do some boho ethnic chic with a casual baby doll piece that is perfect for the beach getaway you’ve been planning. And last but not least, do deconstructed lines with a specially printed mono printed skirt.
Between The Lines Maxi in Yellow Brown/Red Mint
Here we deal with gorgeous pleating details that only sets to accentuate your curves and silhouette. These intricate pleats coupled with paneling details at the front definitely drove the factory mad with the amount of time, effort and workmanship that went into constructing it, but undeniably worth it. The vibrant yet sublime abstract multi colour print injects a life of its own into this maxi number. It’s so classy, elegant and sophisticated with a little defiance from the print and pleats to bring some edgy vibes to the dress as well.
If you’re more voluptuous then it would be recommended to size up for this maxi dress. Shar is wearing size M in the Red Mint here.
Eyelet Shift Dress in White/Black
A spin-off from our previous loved Eyelet Scallop Blouson (currently on backorder here), this gorgeous eyelet fabric is now launching in a basic shift dress that is so easy to wear. We kept the bell sleeves and scalloped hems. In addition, we added inner lining to this dress version which makes it more perfect. Wear it on its own for a more casual and whimsical look or with a belt for a more dressed up look. Best thing of all, it goes with any footwear.
Shar and I both wearing size M with different footwear for different styles.
This romantic and whimsical piece also makes it a perfect dress to bring for a beach getaway like blogger Melody (@melodyyap) did. Melody wears size XS for reference.
Boho Babydoll Top
A simple baby doll top made subtle sexy and ultra chic with the cross back design and the boho ethnic printed fabric. We added solid tone contrasting so that it’s not over-the-top and love that it can be worn with any skinny cut bottom.
Shar paired hers with a pair of skinny jeans for a casual day out, wearing size M.
Quartz Lace Top in White/Black
There’s always something romantic and whimsical about intricate lace details and this sleeved lace number just nailed it for us. The sweetheart bust line speaks feminine and we love the contrasting use of mesh and lace. We kept the sleeves sheer to give it some edge at the same time.
The top is versatile to be worn both tucked in or out and with any bottoms put together, making it perfect for both work and play. I chose to keep things on a casual note with my personal pair of skorts. Wearing size M for the top.
Graphic Mono Skirt
We’re big lovers of anything black and white, which explains why we chose to specially print this graphic printed neoprene fabric ourselves. The end result couldn’t be more satisfying and we decided to have it in a deconstructed skirt that plays with an even angular hem line in front. It’s minimalistic chic, effortless, extremely modern and stylish, and also wearable at the same time. The cut is absolutely flattering and you can pull off any basic top with it.
Shar paired hers with our popular Basic Swing Top while I went with a basic tee. Both of us in size M.
We’re also loving how blogger Valerie Wang (@valerie_wang) kept it all simple and effortless in our Graphic Mono Skirt. Valerie wears size XS for reference.
It’s a gorgeous collection put together by us and the folks at Crystal Times with their Guy Laroche Timepieces so don’t miss our launch this Sunday at 11am. All designs have also been stocked in at our retail rack at The Showcase so do head down to try the sizing and fit for a better gauge and more retail therapy.
